Understanding the business challenge

Access to the Vikings Loyalty rewards and initiatives is currently provided through large kiosk terminals that are not used by members due to their cumbersome interface. Vikings was looking to increase the engagement of their members onsite and connect them to their existing loyalty program.

Seamless integration

Seamless integration of the iPad Kiosk application to all external systems with design aligned to Viking’s branding for clear recognition by members in their premises.

Technology made elegantly simple

Key was simplifying the experience through ease of use and simple design when engaging with the Kiosk — access to the loyalty program with the swipe of a card allowing members to view their loyalty point balances and print offers on the spot.

Our Studio Sprints – where thinking meets making

A design studio was held with key stakeholders to understand member requirements and technical constraints of the existing Vikings technology ecosystem. During the sprint, we moved from problem to prototype exploring solutions to the design, testing and iterating resulting in a validated solution.

New opportunities

The Kiosk application represents an important step for the organisation to achieve an innovative interface for member facing applications. It enables the organisation to actively drive the way members interact with the brand and engage with their loyalty program. The application also opens new avenues for the organisation allowing members to redeem points for products and experiences broader than internal food and drinks only.
